On the basis that there’s more to a phone system than just phones on desks, here’s a few ideas: Every week you have a pre-planned fire alarm test, you need everyone in the company to know whether they’re in the warehouse / stores / factory floor, offices / canteen / toilet.
Occasionally there’s some sort of crisis and you need to contact one of your shop-floor workers right now and your shop floor workers aren’t allowed phones
This is where the big horn loudspeakers come in.
They can be connected to the main phone system and you can blast out your message from any phone, just by dialling the extension of your integrated Public Address system.
In the case of the fire drill, the system can play a pre-recorded announcement at a pre-set time of day / day of the week.
You can re-record the announcement, if the information changes, from any of your phones. Your workers like to know when the canteen is opening, and when it’s time to go back to work.
This would be where the “School Bell” application on the phone system comes into play. You can configure the “bell” to ring on a time schedule which can be as simple or as complex as you like.
As well as the big speakers, we can also integrate ceiling speakers and wall speakers. We can configure groups of phones with a “Push-to-talk” feature so that you can, just by dialling an extension, have all the phones in the group play your announcement through their built-in speakers.
